Grant Trew, Senior Policy Officer – Sport and Recreation has advised for Perth and Peel Region:
I can confirm that masks must be worn at indoor venues at all times. This includes during vigorous indoor activities. We understand that this may be problematic for some sports like squash but the decision was based on health advice.
We look forward to a safe and considered return to sport and active recreation as soon as possible.
2021 Autumn League and Pennant fixtures are on SportyHq.
Commencing Monday 8 February 2021
The annual Volunteer function that was to be held at Belmont Squash on 6 February has been postponed until further notice due to the uncertainty of the current Government COVID restrictions.
As of Sunday the 31st of Jan at 6pm all centres in Perth Metro, Peel and South West will be closed til 6pm Friday, 5th of Feb .
ROUND ONE of the Day League fixtures on Wed the 3rd of Feb will be cancelled and points at this stage will be split .If we can re-fixture this later on we will.
The Annual Volunteers night to be held on Saturday, 6th February at Belmont will go ahead at this stage with a decision to be made on Wed the 3rd of Feb.
The first WA Squash Academy (WASA) session on Sunday 7th is on at this stage with a decision to be made on Friday, 5th of Feb .
All staff will work from home til the 7th of Feb .
At this stage ALL pennant and League fixtures scheduled for the week of Monday the 8th of Feb will go ahead unless there are further announcements by Govt.
